Le economie avanzate devono puntare sulla privatizzazione.

Secondo (e ultimo) pezzo che ho scritto durante il soggiorno francese, ma che può essere considerato attuale (da me, almeno, da voi probabilmente no, ma chissefrega, il blog è mio ). Anche in questo caso non ho avuto voglia di tradurlo. Come sempre, insulti e critiche sono bene accetti oltre che richiesti. Baci

Take a look at this article on the WSJ, written by Barro and Redlick, on whether stimulus spending works or not.
An interesting part is:
“Our research also shows that greater weakness in the economy raises the estimated multiplier: It increases by around 0.1 for each two percentage points by which the unemployment rate exceeds its long-run median of 5.6%. Thus the estimated multiplier reaches 1.0 when the unemployment rate gets to about 12%.”

From which I assume this (seems quite obvious, though):
If we divide the life of a state in 2 periods, 1) early stage with a not yet developed economy;
2) advanced stage, with a developed economy,
then government policies should be interventist in the 1st stage, as not developed countries are usually characterized by high unemployment rate (that was used as proxy of gov’t intervention’s effects), with everithing that is economically associated with it and, in the 2nd stage by liberalist e less interventist policies, as the ineffectivity of the latter, explained statistically by the proxy, are explained theorically (I guess) by the accuracy of informations needed to succeed in an advanced economy,which as Mises, Hayek et al. explain are not reachable by states. Countries like Italy (random choice ), characterized by high government presence in the economy, and serious waste of money in the distribution functions, high corruption, etc. are a proof of the validity of this thesis. The costs of maintaining this system have become too high compared to the revenues (the opposite was true at the early stages). So a policy aimed at reducing government presence in the economy should be encouraged, to grant the economical viability of the state, and employ taxpayers’ money in a more productive way.
